I started training in
Aikido in 1991 with Karasawa
Sensei in Scarborough. I am
currently 4th Dan in
Yoshinkan Aikido through the
IYAF (International
Yoshinkan Aikido
Federation). In 2003 I took
over the daily management of
the dojo, with help from the
senior student body. I have
been honoured to train under
Karasawa Sensei for many
years. Through Karasawa's
connections, and now some
that I have made myself, I
have trained under many
visiting Sensei's from
around the world. They
include Inoue, Chida,
Takeno, Ando, Mustard,
Ohlman and Mills Sensei's.

I have been a Scouting Leader
with the 470th Agincourt since 1990. I have at one
point or another worked at almost all levels,
including Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers as
well as part of the group committee. We have strived
to provide a program that allows for a mixture of
social, environmental, and educational enrichment.

| I have served as president of Malvern
Softball Association for the past 8 seasons, longer
than any other in it's 35 year history. We provide
an opportunity for local youth to enjoy fun
Houseleague activity all summer, as well as special
Select opportunities for those with more competitive
skills and expectations. I have coach at least one
Houseleague and one Select team each season, and
usually two of each.
